There are two world class mountain bikers who have once again represented the project for the second time at the ABSA Cape Epic 2009. Christoph Sauser, the current XC World Champion, teamed up with South Africa’s brightest mountain biking star and new Specialized teammate, Burry Stander for what turned out to be a race with dominating stage wins as well as very mixed fortunes…
But with that and the first few races of the 2009 World Cup circuit completed they are now planning their assualts on the second half of the season which promises much excitement with Susi going back to defend his title in Canberra and Burry going in search of his first U/23 World Title…

Songo Fipaza
This website is named songo.info in honour of Songo Fipaza, a remarkable man, who rose above his circumstances and strives daily to equip others to do the same. Songo, with his energetic enthusiasm and brilliant vision is a symbol of hope in his local community, Kayamandi, where he is involved in computer literacy classes for adults and children and coordinates the support groups for crèche leaders and the unemployed. Many of the youth in Kayamandi admire Songo who encourages them with his love for others and his humility in service for fellow humanity. The aim of songo.info to give unconditionally to a community where hardship is a daily reality, therefore reflects the beautiful heart of Songo Fipaza. |
